RCPP National Coordinator Position

Job Overview

The National Bobwhite and Grassland Initiative (NBGI) and NBGI Foundation have been pioneers in collaborative habitat restoration for nearly three decades, working closely with state wildlife agencies and partners. We are seeking an experienced coordinator to join our growing team. Ideal candidates will possess leadership experience, a project management background, knowledge of government operations, strong organizational skills, and problem-solving ability. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team comprised of four (4) state wildlife agencies, NRCS, and other conservation partners to deliver Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) projects to private landowners.
  • Hire and supervise four (4) State RCPP Coordinators.
  • Oversee the utilization of the project management system.
  • Work with partners to report financial contributions of the project and produce annual reports.
  • Work with Clemson University to deliver conservation outcome assessments.
  • Maintain a constructive and positive team environment among staff and partners.
  • Collaborate towards improving program delivery from field operations to administrative processes.

Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of experience in conservation coordination with partners and employees
  • At least a BS degree (MS preferred) in a natural resource management or business management field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS, database operations, and capable of learning new software
  • Knowledge of private lands conservation delivery and cost-share programs preferred
  • Strong ability to manage, balance, and prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-stress environment, lead others, and think creatively to solve problems.
  • Excellent communication skills and highly self-motivated in managing communication channels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to create and maintain systems that others can easily use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Financial Manager with managing invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Support the Financial Manager in recruitment efforts by assisting with candidate interviews, onboarding new hires, payroll setup and processing, and ensuring HR policy compliance.
  • Actively participate in office management, handling a variety of clerical tasks to ensure smooth operations.
  • Organize and prepare meeting schedules for NBGI and NBGI Foundation staff.
  • Manage office equipment and supplies, including ordering new equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve clerical issues and improve administrative processes.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a mid-level administrative and accounting support role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Experience with business software products like Google Workspace, Office 365, web searching, and a quick study with new software needs and implementations.
  • Familiar with WordPress website management, along with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
  • Familiarity with operating office equipment such as computers, printers, and scanners.
  • Strong ability to manage, balance, and prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-stress environment and think creatively to solve problems.
  • Excellent communication skills and highly self-motivated in managing communication channels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to create and maintain systems that others can easily use.
